The work
The harvest only happens once.
Michigan Trimmers is a family-operated crew of cannabis trimmers in Michigan. We do wet trimming and dry trimming at the cultivation site, and we schedule the crew around the harvest so the work starts when the plants are actually ready.
The quality of a harvest comes down to the details, and proper trimming plays an essential role in preserving the appearance, structure, and integrity of every flower.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in cannabis cultivation, harvesting, wet trimming, and dry trimming, our family-operated crew understands what goes into producing a quality finished product.
Our professional cannabis trimming services cover both wet and dry trimming, with experienced hands, dependable service, and careful attention to every harvest.

Our specialty
Wet trimming
Wet trimming means taking off excess leaf shortly after the plants are cut, before the flowers go into the dry. The material is still fresh and heavy with water. The work has to be careful and it has to keep moving, because the dry room is waiting.
Also available
Dry trimming
Dry trimming happens after the flowers have dried. The leaf is brittle and the buds are lighter, so the handling changes. We remove what you still want gone and leave the finish you asked for. It is a different job from a wet trim, and we do not treat it as the lesser one.
Some growers prefer wet. Some prefer dry. The flower, the dry setup, and the look you want decide it — not a rule we impose.

Why this crew
Why choose Michigan Trimmers?
You are hiring judgment as much as labor. The people trimming have grown cannabis, harvested it, and finished it both ways.
- 01
Experience that shows
With more than 20 years of cultivation and trimming experience, we understand the whole harvest — how the plants were grown, when they are ready, and how the flower should be handled after the cut. Trimming is not a separate errand for us. It is part of the season.
- 02
A crew you can trust
We are a family-operated team. We show up when we say we will, we treat your room and your plants with respect, and we keep the work professional from the first bin to the last.
- 03
Competitive, straightforward pricing
Rates follow the harvest: size, wet or dry trimming, the condition of the flower, and the schedule. We explain the price before work begins. There is no published flat rate, because harvests are not identical.
- 04
Quality-focused results
The point of a careful trim is to leave the flower looking like itself — structure intact, leaf managed, handling light enough that the bud is not beaten up on the way to the jar.
- 05
Harvest-ready scheduling
We plan around the window you expect to cut or to pull flower from the dry. Dates move. Tell us when they do, and we will work from the new timing.
How a job starts
Four steps. No mystery.
01
Tell us about your harvest
Send the basics: where you are in Michigan, roughly how much flower you expect, whether you want wet or dry trimming, and the dates you are aiming for.
02
Get a personalized quote
We read the request and reply to talk through pricing, timing, and whether a crew is available. The reply is a conversation, not an automatic booking.
03
Coordinate your harvest
Once the job is clear, we line up the details around your anticipated trimming window so the work fits the cut or the dry, not the other way around.
04
Professional trimming
The crew trims to the method and finish we agreed on, with attention to the flower in front of us rather than a generic standard.

The crew
Grown, cut, and trimmed by the same kind of hands.
Michigan Trimmers is family-operated. The experience behind the scissors includes cultivation, not only day labor at the end of someone else's season. If you want the longer version of who we are, it is on the about page. If you already know the harvest date, skip ahead and send the quote.
About the crewQuestions
Straight answers before you write.
If the real answer depends on your room, the form is the right next step. We will not invent a policy to sound more certain than the harvest is.
What is wet trimming?
Wet trimming, sometimes called a wet trim, is taking excess leaf off cannabis flowers shortly after they are cut, before they go into the dry. The material is still fresh and heavy with water, so the work has to stay careful and it has to keep pace with the harvest. Michigan Trimmers does this at the cultivation site.
What is dry trimming?
Dry trimming happens after the flowers have dried. The remaining leaf is brittle, and the buds are lighter, so the handling is different from a wet trim. We take off what you still want gone and stop at the finish you asked for.
What is the difference between wet and dry trimming?
Wet trimming removes excess leaf shortly after harvest, while the flowers are still fresh, before they are dried. Dry trimming happens after the flowers have dried, when the remaining leaf is taken off the finished buds. Wet work is usually tied to the day you cut. Dry work follows the dry room. Growers use both. Neither method automatically produces better flower — the right choice depends on your process, your drying setup, and the finish you want.
When should you choose wet trimming?
Choose a wet trim when you want the leaf off before the flowers dry, and when you can have a crew there for the cut. It suits a harvest plan that moves flower into the dry room as it is finished. It is a poor fit if the plants are already dry.
When should you choose dry trimming?
Choose dry trimming when the flowers have already dried and you want the last leaf taken off the finished buds. Some growers prefer it because they like how the flower dries with the leaf still on. Tell us the look you want and we will trim to that.
Why hire a professional cannabis trimming crew?
Harvest is a short window, and trimming cannabis by hand is slow, skilled work. A trimming crew that has grown plants and finished both wet and dry flower can keep the room moving without rushing the buds. People looking for cannabis trimmers in Michigan are hiring that work: excess leaf off the flower, at the standard you set. You stay in charge of the finish.
How far in advance should I schedule?
As soon as you can see the harvest coming. Wet trimming has to line up with the cut, so earlier notice makes it easier to hold a crew. If the date shifts, tell us. We would rather adjust a plan than hear about a harvest the morning it falls.
How is trimming priced?
By the job. The quote depends on harvest size, wet or dry trimming, how the flower is coming in, scheduling, and any special handling you want. We will tell you the price before work starts. We do not publish a single rate, because harvests are not the same size or the same kind of work.
Do you handle small and large harvests?
Yes. We trim harvests of different sizes, from a smaller room to a larger commercial cut. The quote reflects the actual job. If you are not sure of the weight yet, say so on the form and we will start from what you do know.
What information is needed for a quote?
Your name, email, and Michigan city, the trimming method you want, a harvest-size estimate if you have one, and the dates you expect to start and finish. Phone, operation type, and any notes about the room are helpful, not required. If a number or a date is still moving, tell us that plainly.
Do you travel to the cultivation location?
Yes. We trim at the cultivation location. Include the city, or the nearest town, and we will tell you whether we can schedule the crew there. We do not publish a county map or a mileage limit.
How long does trimming typically take?
It depends on the amount of flower, wet versus dry trimming, how the plants were harvested, and the finish you want. A wet trim has to keep pace with the cut so flower can move into drying. A dry trim is on its own clock after the dry. We will talk through timing with the quote. We do not advertise a pounds-per-hour guarantee.
What areas of Michigan do you serve?
We are a Michigan crew and we schedule work at cultivation sites in the state. Send the location with your inquiry. We will confirm whether that harvest is one we can reach and staff. We do not list a fixed service boundary on this site.
