Our standards
Clean equipment. Careful handling. Respect for every harvest.
At Michigan Trimmers, cleanliness isn't something we address only at the beginning or end of a job. It's a continuous part of our process.
With over 20 years of hands-on cultivation and harvesting experience, we understand the time, effort, and investment behind every harvest. We treat your flower, equipment, and facility with the same attention to detail we'd expect for our own.
From properly maintained trimming machines to careful strain separation, our standards are designed to protect the integrity of your harvest from start to finish.

01
Meticulous Equipment Cleaning
A clean machine is the foundation of a quality trim.
We take equipment cleaning seriously. Our trimming machines undergo extensive disassembly, detailed cleaning, inspection, and reassembly between jobs.
We don't simply wipe down the exterior and call it clean. We address the internal components, cutting surfaces, grates, and areas where resin and plant material can accumulate.
For projects lasting several days or weeks, we perform ongoing cleaning and maintenance throughout the job, including partial disassembly whenever necessary.
Our goal is straightforward: equipment that is clean, properly maintained, and ready for each harvest.

02
Contamination-Conscious Cleaning Products
No unnecessary oils, fragrances, or residues on your flower.
We prioritize cleaning methods that effectively remove cannabis resin and plant debris without leaving unwanted residues behind.
Our process includes appropriate cleaning agents, thorough rinsing where required, and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for compatible equipment surfaces.
We avoid unnecessary fragrances, oily cleaners, and contaminants that could compromise the natural characteristics of your flower.
Every cleaned component is inspected before returning to service, with equipment-specific cleaning and maintenance requirements always taking priority.

03
Professional Glove & Handling Standards
Clean hands. Clean gloves. Careful handling.
Our crew uses clean, powder-free, latex-free nitrile gloves when handling cannabis flower.
Gloves are changed as needed throughout the trimming process, including when contaminated, when moving between designated batches, and during equipment-cleaning transitions.
We emphasize hygienic work practices, careful flower handling, and maintaining clean tools and workspaces throughout the day.
We know quality is influenced by every point of contact.

04
Strain Separation & Batch Integrity
Your strains stay your strains.
We understand that every cultivar represents its own genetics, appearance, aroma, and characteristics.
We take deliberate steps to prevent accidental mixing of strains or harvest batches during trimming, collection, and handling.
Depending on the size and requirements of the harvest, we can establish dedicated trimming stations, collection containers, tools, or even individual machines for specific cultivars.
When equipment must transition between strains, we perform appropriate cleaning and inspection before processing the next batch.
Our objective is to maintain clear separation and preserve each cultivar's identity throughout the trimming process.

05
Continuous Cleaning During Multi-Day Harvests
Our standards don't reset only when the job is finished.
Large harvests can require multiple days or weeks of trimming. We maintain cleanliness throughout the entire engagement, not just between customers.
Our process includes routine removal of plant debris, monitoring resin buildup, cleaning work areas, and servicing equipment as needed.
When circumstances call for it, we partially disassemble machinery during the project to clean critical components and keep equipment in proper operating condition.
We believe professional trimming requires continuous attention to both productivity and cleanliness.

06
Respect for Your Facility & Procedures
Your facility. Your rules. Our commitment to professionalism.
Every cultivation operation has its own procedures, sanitation requirements, workflow preferences, and standards.
We work within your facility's established protocols and coordinate our practices with your team before beginning work.
Whether your operation requires specific protective equipment, cleaning procedures, designated work areas, strain-separation protocols, or additional documentation, we're committed to respecting those requirements.
We understand that we're guests in your cultivation environment, and we conduct ourselves accordingly.

07
Harvest Integrity Above All
Your hard work deserves a careful finish.
A successful harvest represents months of cultivation, monitoring, and attention to detail. The trimming process should reflect that same level of care.
We focus on preserving flower appearance, structure, and cultivar identity while providing dependable, efficient trimming services.
From the first batch to the final cleanup, we believe the small details are what distinguish professional trimming from simply getting the job done.
